This was a really fun request from a client. She sent me a photo of a cake she liked and we customized it. The figure is wearing the St. Thomas University grad gown and was made to look like my clients daughter. The cake is chocolate pound with peanut butter chips and peanut butter buttercream covered in fondant. The books, figurine and diploma are all fondant.

Slumber Party
Now this cake was fun. The research was fun, the sketching was fun, the thought was fun and of course the making of it was FUN. There's something to be said for watching a lump of marshmallow fondant shape into a nightstand, or a bowl of popcorn, or a pizza! I'm really pleased with this cake and I'm hoping the birthday girl will be just as happy!!! Cake is red velvet flavor, but with a multicoloring... rainbow of colors actually, pink, blue, green and yellow. It's covered in buttercream and then fondant. All accents are made of fondant.
Backyardigans... Again..
Doing this cake made me really miss these guys. My daughter isn't much into them anymore, but to be honest I think they're one of my favorite children shows/cartoons on right now. I love the imagination, the song and the dances. Anyways...the cake is chocolate fudge, covered in vanilla buttercream with fondant accents, characters are fondant. Apparently birthday girl liked it and they even saved the characters and have them on display somewhere. Not sure how long fondant will last, but hey...enjoy! :)

Super Mario Cake
I know you're told not to play with food, but don't you want to just take the little mario and smash the bricks? I was tempted to "play" this cake. It's a Fudge marble cake with chocolate filling and vanilla buttercream, and fondant accents. Everything you see is edible.

School's Out for Summer
I was asked to do a cake for a young girl's end of school pool party. Sadly, her pool party got cancelled so her Mom brought the cake to school (on the last day) for her and her friends. I guess it was a hit, and hopefully it was able to make up for her cancelled party.
Everything you see is edible.

Golf - drunk Tiger Woods
I've gotten some pretty fun and crazy requests and I think this one fits into that category. A drunk Tiger woods. Seriously? I had quite a bit of fun with this one! Top tier is peanut butter pound cake with ganache filling and chocolate buttercream. Bottom tier is coconut cake with coconut buttercream.

Happy birthday to a boy, his Grandmother and Aunt...
I was asked to do a cake for 3 family members celebrating together. The client asked if I could incorporate the 'people' on the cake. She sent me photos and that's what I did. All 3 of them 'hanging around' for their birthday celebrations. Cake is peanut butter pound with chocolate fudge frosting. People, rug and chair are made of fondant... chair is actually rice krispie treats covered in fondant. I hope they love themselves!!!!
