Cupcakes

I don't normally do cupcakes but I thought it would be fun for a change. I made a variety pack with lemon, vanilla, chocolate, marble cupcakes covered in vanilla buttercream topped with fondant accents. This was for a group of Mom's of multiples, for their mother's day gathering. Hope they enjoyed them!

Another Cupcake

This was a last minute order but I'm glad I did it. It was great getting back in the swing of things and the birthday girl was VERY pleased. That is the main goal as always! It's peanut butter pound cake with peanut buttercream filling and covered in vanilla buttercream with fondant accents. The customer sent me a photo of what they wanted and this was my 'recreation' of it. Mmm mmm.

Fun on the farm

This was a super fun cake! The kids loved it to. It was for a friends, son's birthday. She had a farm themed party... look how great the table cloth matched! The cupcakes were the animals. The barn was half rice Krispy treats, half cake. The birthday boy was happy...so that's what counts!

Giant Cupcake

When I was trying to come up with an idea for my sister in laws birthday, I decided to make a giant cupcake. I've seen these a few places and thought it was a cute concept. Not to mention, she's a fan of cupcakes! There is a Wilton pan out there where you can bake your cake into a cupcake shape, or, you can do it the way I did it. 2 6" rounds, and half of a ball pan. I used fondant for the 'wrapper' and chocolate buttercream for the top. It was a huge hit and pretty yummy too! Here's the cake and my sister in law! :)

cupcakes....

My busy weekend started with Halloween cupcakes! Tonight I'm working on a large cake for an office party, then I have a Tinkerbell cake for Saturday and a Caterpillar cake for Sunday. While it's busy, I'm looking forward to working on every single cake!

As for the cupcakes, they're vanilla pound and I only remembered to take the photo once they were in their boxes, so they aren't the best.

Cupcake Bouquet

So this morning I had some amazing ladies come over and take some photos of Mia. As a thank you to the WONDERFUL Shandee (www.shandeegoulding.com) for coming to take Mia's photos, I made a cupcake bouquet. It was my first attempt and I did learn a few things, but overall I think it turned out pretty darn cute! I'll be making more of these, I'm sure of it!
